2 Day Course
Adobe Premiere
CS4 course is a two-day*, hands-on, instructor-led training
course. It is designed specifically but not exclusively for
people who intend to sit the Adobe Premiere 6.0 ACE Exam. It
covers the topic areas found in the Adobe Premiere 6.0 Standard
Skills courses, as well as Adobe Press' Classroom in a Book,
Adobe Expert Program®
General Knowledge
Given a workspace option, describe when you would use the workspace
option.
Discuss issues and settings that affect how much disk space is used.
Discuss the advantages of built-in support for Firewire in Premiere.
Identify terms and definitions related to video production.
Demonstrate familiarity with industry standard input and output formats.
Working with
projects
Sort data by using settings in the Project Window.
Given a menu from the Project Settings dialog box, list and describe
options on the menu.
Capturing and
Importing Source Clips
Given a codec (compressor/ decompressor), describe the options provided
by that codec.
Explain how to capture analog video.
Use batch capture to capture digital video clips.
Use device control to capture and import source clips.
Capture a series of frames by using stop motion animation.
Import still images.
Capture analog audio.
Import digital audio.
Working with
the Timeline
List and describe the viewing options available in the Timeline.
Explain options available for showing and hiding tracks on the Timeline.
Use the Timeline to add or subtract audio and video tracks.
Given an example in the Timeline, explain the properties of the clips
in the Timeline.
Given a scenario, explain how to navigate within the Timeline.
Create a preview by using the Work area bar.
Given a scenario, assemble a project by selecting the appropriate tool
or command.
Editing Video
Organize clips by using the Storyboard window.
Synchronize audio and video by using the Source window and the Timeline.
Edit In and Out points.
Create three-point and four-point edits.
Link and unlink clips.
Link video to audio.
Specify source and target tracks.

Animating Clips
Explain how to animate clips by using Adobe Premiere.

Creating Titles
Use graphic tools to create objects for your title.
Use text tools to manipulate title text.
Explain how to control motion in a rolling title.
Modify the color of title objects by using color settings.
Control how titles are displayed in the final project.
Producing output
Create and manage Edit Decision Lists (EDLs).
